As for PS5, the resolution has been boosted to 2880 x 1620. On Xbox Series S, the game will run at 1920 x 1080 (no boost there sadly). On Xbox Series X, the game will now run at native 3840 x 2160. Ubisoft also revealed that alongside the 60 FPS feature, Far Cry 5 is also getting a slight resolution boost across PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will automatically run at a higher frame rate when you boot it up. You simply need to update your game or reinstall it with the latest game files available on the servers.

The free 60 FPS update is now live for Far Cry 5 across PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. So if you want to pick it up after the trial ends, you can save money on it too. Ubisoft is also offering 80% off on all the different versions of Far Cry 5 as well as the DLC. You can download Far Cry 5 across all platforms and play it for five days.

If you haven’t played Far Cry 5 yet, there’s also a free trial next weekend from 23 – 27 March.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft has released a free 60 FPS update for the game across PS5 and Xbox Series X/S that promises to double the frame rate of the game.
